50/50 Friday is a meme hosted by Carrie @ The Butterfly Reads and Laura @ Blue Eye Books. This fun themed meme focuses on the opposite sides of books (best/worst, differing opinions, etc). Every week a new topic will give bloggers the chance to showcase their answers.
This week's topic is the Bookish Gift You'd Most/Least Like to Receive.
The Bookish Gift I'd Most Like to Receive
~ An Audible Membership ~
I love listening to audiobooks,
so receiving an Audible Membership
would be a perfect gift for me!
The Bookish Gift I'd Least Like to Receive
A book I've already read or a book from a
genre or by an author I do not enjoy reading.
Which Bookish Gift You'd Most/Least Like to Receive?
That would be a bummer--receiving a book you don't want to read or already have read. That's happened to me a few times. :-( I love my Audible membership. It'd be nice if someone else paid for it and gave it to be as a gift instead. Haha
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!
Yes, it would be nice not to have to pay for an Audible membership for sure!! Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment. Happy reading to you!
DeleteThat would suck, getting a book by an author you don't like or a book you've already read. Why didn't I think of that one?

DeleteI would most like a subscription to an indie publisher book club such as Archipelago or Ti House. I love books so much I can't think of a bookish gift I wouldn't want. Even if it was a book I'd already read or didn't like I would just pass it on to another reader who hadn't or did!
ReplyDeleteTypo: I meant Tin House.
DeleteI do prefer to buy most of my books from indie bookstores to support small businesses or FOL Used Bookstores to support the public library, however I am guilty of buying or downloading free audiobooks from Audible (which is owned by Amazon) as I love audiobooks and downloading free or purchased ebooks to my Kindle from my Amazon. And buying a few physical books through Amazon as well.
DeleteI also receive free ebooks, audiobooks, or physical books through Goodreads, Netgalley, Inkitt Exclusive Reads, authors/narrators, etc. as well, which is a a wonderful perk.
Oo I'd actually love to receive an audible membership! I hadn't thought about it but I've been hesitant to buy myself one because I'm kind of apathetic towards audio books so getting it as a gift would be the perfect alternative. Kind of like a free trial so to speak :) Thanks for linking up!
