Arctic Hero by Catherine Johnson

I listened to the audiobook version of Arctic Hero by Catherine Johnson. I enjoyed listening to the true story of Matthew Henson, an African-American explorer, and his journey to become the co-discovery of the North Pole, along with American explorer Robert Peary, in 1909.

I'd never heard of Matthew Henson until listening to the story of his life in Arctic Hero. What a wonderfully told story about perseverance, overcoming adversity and racial inequality. Matthew Henson is quite a hero.

The reader of this audiobook did an awesome job of reading Arctic Hero, which engaged the listener.
