2020 Second Quarter Reading Update!!

I set my 2020 Reading Goals on December 31st of 2019 as follows:
My goal is to read 52 books in 2020. All 52 books to be read will come from my current 'to be read' pile. No specific titles at this time have been decided upon. However, I do plan to read 13 books that I've acquired through Goodreads Giveaways, 13 books that I acquired prior to May 2014, and the 26 remaining books will be chosen at random from my 'tbr' pile... These could be books added  to my collection after May 2014, more of my older books acquired prior to May 2014, or more books I acquired through Goodreads Giveaways.

  1. That is an impressive list of books. My reading has been slow this year. I have allowed myself too many distractions. I need to read more.

Happy reading in the 2nd Half of the year!

  2. Good work! Especially since you have enjoyed so many of the books. I too have been hacking away at my TBR, reading books I already owned, but also I have ordered books from my local indie, in support of them during the virus shutdown, so have also read some great newly published fiction.

    1. I have ordered books this year as well. I wasn't going to buy any books this year as I have so many books to read as it is. I was actually doing pretty good the 1st quarter and didn't buy any books, but then I went nuts and purchased 20 books during the 2nd quarter with birthday money.

  3. You are certainly zipping right along with your goal and you have quite an interesting mix there. I am five books ahead of my personal goal, which is 84 (sever a month) for the year. The pandemic lockdown has helped me along with that.

  4. I love that you are tackling your TBR books. I REALLY need to do that! I've been having difficulty reading physical books these past year-in-a-half. My concentration is off the hook! However, I am doing better with audiobooks. It just saddens me that I can't tackle my personal books.

Anywho, great job with your reading so far this year!

    1. Like you, I do better with audiobooks too. I can listen to them while eating meals if my hubby and I aren't eating meals together... And I don't have to hold a book if my crps is particularly painful.
