2018 First Quarter Update!!

Last December, I set several reading goals for 2018.

Below are my four reading goals set in bold.

I've read a total of 16 books so far this year
and have added the books I've read for each

category with links to my reviews for each book.

1. Read 24 physical books (not ebooks or audiobooks) that I purchased prior to May 2014.

1. Love In A Nutshell by Janet Evanovich & Dorien Kelly
2. Three Apples Fell From Heaven: Unfamiliar Legends of the Trees by Natalia Belting

2. Read 12 books (any format) that I've received for FREE through Goodreads or from another source (InKitt, author, publisher, etc.).

1. All Is Not Forgotten by Wendy Walker
2. The Boy Next Door by Katie Van Ark
3. Nasty Women: Feminism, Resistance, and Revolution in Trump's America edited by Samhita Mukhopadhyay & Kate Harding

3. Read 12 physical books that fall into the cozy mystery genre.

4. Read 12 books (any format) that were obtained after May 2014.

1. Protected Mate by J. H. Croix
3. The Kewpie Killer by Falafel Jones
4. We by Yevgeny Zamyatin
5. An Untamed State by Roxane Gay
6. We Should All Be Feminists by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
7. Why We Can't Wait by Martin Luther King, Jr.
8. West Cork by Sam Bungey & Jennifer Forde
9. Louisiana Longshot by Jana DeLeon
10. Wanna Get Lucky? by Deborah Coonts
11. The House I Loved by Tatiana De Rosnay

I decided to look at my reading stats for the first quarter of 2017 and realized I'd read 52 books by the end of March 2017... Wow!! Last year was definitely a huge year for me in terms of reading.

So, how is your year in reading going so far for you?

  1. Congratulations on your reading. We are both trying to get through those books we have meant to read. My reading is going great. I posted my Books Read in March yesterday. We shall rock on!

  2. It looks like you've had a pretty successful first quarter, Lisa (although 52 books last year???). You're so much better at staying focused on your challenges than I am :) I try to set goals but then I constantly get distracted about 3 months in. I'm hoping to be a little more committed this year. Best of luck in your second quarter!

    1. Yes, difficult too believe that I read 52 books the 1st quarter of 2017. Not sure how I read so much last year, but it was my best reading year ever!

I'm getting distracted with my reading goals this year already!! I may fail big time!! We'll see what happens as I still have 8 months to achieve my reading goals.
