50/50 Friday is a meme hosted by Carrie @ The Butterfly Reads and Laura @ Blue Eye Books. This fun themed meme focuses on the opposite sides of books (best/worst, differing opinions, etc). Every week a new topic will give bloggers the chance to showcase their answers.
This week's topic is the Best/Worst Graphic Novel/Manga You've Read!
This is a tough choice for me to make as I have not read many books from the graphic novel/manga genre. The books I have read from either genre have either been really good or not to my liking at all!
The Best Graphic Novel/Manga I've read
Embroideries by Marjane Satrapi

I don't read much in the graphic novel genre either. Think I would agree with your 'worst' based on the cover alone. Have not read your best. I really like Roz Chast's books and also Lucy Knisley.
ReplyDeleteA Strange Kind of Woman, Volume 1 by Inu is one of the few times I should have judged a book by its cover!!
DeleteThanks for sharing your favorite authors!! I'll check them out.
I have read Persepolis by Satrapi. I don't read this genre much either.
ReplyDeleteI've read both Persepolis 1 & 2 by Satrapi as well. Oddly enough, I enjoyed reading Persepolis 2 more than the 1st book.
DeleteI just read your review for A Strange Kind of Woman, I can totally see why you didn’t like it.

DeleteI'm a complete cover snob so my initial impression of A Strange Kind of Woman is probably the reaction you got from reading it. I haven't heard of Embroideries but it sounds really interesting and I'm hoping to expand my knowledge of graphic novels so it might be a good one to pick up. Thanks for linking up!
