Do You Reread Books?

Do you ever reread books you've already read? I sometimes do this on occasion, but it doesn't happen very frequently.

I did listen to the unabridged audio version of Oh Whistle and I'll Come to You, My Lad by M. R. James and read by David Suchet recently on my Kindle this past week and enjoyed rediscovering this tale all over again!

In the past, I've reread both Curtain & Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea by Jules Verne, Grayson by Lynne Cox and A Hero of Our Time by Mikhail Lermontov to name a few of the novels I recall rereading in the past few years.

So, what about you?? Which books have you enjoyed rediscovering all over again??

It has also occurred to me that there are several books I want to reread again sometime in the future as I enjoyed reading them so much the first time around.

Here's my top ten list of books that I'd like to reread as follows:

The Art of Racing in the Rain by Garth Stein
The Master & Margarita by Mikhail Bulgakov
People of the Book by Geraldine Brooks
The Sacred Well by Antoinette May
Mind Over Medicine by Lissa Rankin MD
East of Eden by John Steinbeck
To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee
The Professor & The Madman by Simon Winchester
The Forty Fathom Bank by Les Galloway
The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie

When will I'll actually have the time (or make the time) to reread the above books? Who knows?! I already have so many books waiting 'to be read' that I'll be busy reading for many years to come!

So, let's hear from you... Which books would you like to reread?? Share with me the book titles you'd like to reread in the comments section below. You don't have to give me a top ten list of books you'd like to reread, but if you do, that would be great!

  1. I'm constantly rereading The Giver by Lois Lowry, Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, and Graceling by Kristin Cashore! I'm working on buying more of my favorite book so I can reread them more often! The Art of Racing in the Rain is really good - I'm glad you like it :)

    1. I LOVED reading The Giver... It was so good!! I should reread that novel as well!! I've never even heard of Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas, and Graceling by Kristin Cashore, so will have to check these two books out. :-) Thanks for sharing books you've enjoyed rereading with me.

  2. I used to re- read books all the time when I was younger, but not so much anymore, seems like are so many good books coming out I don't have as much time to re- read. I kinda miss revisiting old favorites sometimes though. And Then There Were none and 20,000 Leagues both caught my eye since I've never read either of those, but want to soon. Trying to read more Christie and I know that's a highly recommended one...

    1. I know what you mean about there being so many good books out there waiting to be read these days. That's my dilemma too.... I have a plethora of books here at home waiting to be read and tons on my Kindle too!! So, trying to set aside to reread books is difficult at times to do.
