Paranormal Short Story |
I was able to download Supernatural Sleuth by Angela Wallace to my Kindle for FREE from Amazon!!
Below is my honest, unbiased review of Supernatural Sleuth by Angela Wallace.
Let's just say that I was underwhelmed by this paranormal short story. It started out promising, but went downhill swiftly.
I liked the premise of this short story. Supernatural Sleuth by Angela Wallace features a leading female character named Paige Benson, who is an investigating journalist. Paige sets out to discover why pets are going missing in a Seattle neighborhood... But when Paige sets out on her journey to discover why the pets go missing, things grow cheesy. Paige is kidnapped by a rogue vampire and has to escape through a sewer system where graphic, gross descriptions of the sewer system is off putting and disgusting... Like could we have skipped the overly graphic gross slime, smell, and ooze from a sewer system? Plus, the ending of this short story wasn't much of an ending. And, the reason for the missing pets wasn't that great or at least it wasn't for me.
The following is a plot summary for Supernatural Sleuth by Angela Wallace from Amazon:
In this short story spin-off from the Elemental Magic series, Paige Benson, an investigative journalist, tackles a mystery of missing pets in a quaint Seattle neighborhood. As far as investigations go, she’s been on more dangerous ones, but Paige is about to bite off more than she can chew when she realizes there may be a supernatural component. Throw in a confrontation with a blast from her vampire boyfriend’s past, and Paige once again finds herself in the middle of a supernatural showdown.I am giving Supernatural Sleuth by Angela Wallace a rating of 2 stars out of 5 stars. There are more books in the 'Super Natural' series, but I will be skipping them.
Until my next post, happy reading!
