Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Top Ten Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
This week's topic is to focus on books with red, white, and blue covers. I haven't read any of the books on my list below, but they all have red, white, and blue on their covers, so that fulfills the requirements for this week's Top Ten Tuesday post.

DeleteHa! I am about to read All the President's Men, due to having watched two movies: The Post and Mark Felt. A quick scan of my shelves came up with two covers in red white and blue: The Terranauts by T C Boyle and Good Faith by Jane Smiley.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read All the President's Men, but have seen the movie version starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman. I haven't read The Terranauts by T C Boyle or Good Faith by Jane Smiley.
DeleteWow that's a lot of political books... I guess it would make sense that they'd have the colour scheme though...
ReplyDeleteYes, a lot of political books indeed, which wasn't what I was going for when I initially started making this week's post... I was simply having a difficult time coming up with book titles that contained all three color choices of red, white, and blue on their cover. Since many US political books have red, white, and blue on their cover and it being the 4th of July tomorrow, it made sense to just go with a political theme this week.
DeleteThese all look really interesting! Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment! Happy reading!!
DeleteAnd all of the books on your list go with the Fourth of July. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment! Happy 4th of July!!
DeleteInteresting list! I haven't read any of these, but they certainly fit the theme this week. Thank you for visiting my post!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July! Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment.
DeleteI haven't read any of the books on your list either. I really only read fiction.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of the books on my list either as I don't really read many political nonfiction books either.
DeleteI was just trying to go with this week's theme of red, white, and blue covers.
I'm not familiar with any of these, but I must admit that I don't read political books (mainly just fiction). Happy Independence Day to you!

I was just trying to go with this week's theme of red, white, and blue covers and with it being the 4th of July tomorrow, political books seemed the best choice.
Great list! I haven't read any of those books but it's interesting how there are a lot of political books! Political books are in trend with July 4th, haha!
ReplyDeleteYes, political books seem to be a trend for sure lately!
DeleteI love that these all fit the topic pretty well in regard to subject matter as well! The only one I've read is All the President's Men, but I've heard good things about others. Great list!
ReplyDeleteHappy 4th of July!! Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment.
DeleteRed, white, and blue feel like the most obvious color schemes for American political books. I really want to read We Were Eight Years in Power as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment!!
DeleteGreat list! I keep meaning to read something by Ta-Nehisi Coates.

DeleteInteresting choices! The political books fit well with the theme

DeleteLove how even one of the titles is Red White and Blue (Susan Isaacs). :)
ReplyDeleteTanya @ Girl Plus Books
Yes, I thought that was an appropriate title too!! Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment!!
DeleteWhen there is so much red, white, and blue, sometimes it feels like they are trying too hard. Just me, probably.
ReplyDeleteI couldn’t come up with any books in red, white, and blue, so I went with books with the Eiffel Tower on the cover. It sometimes feels like they are trying too hard, too.
Thanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment!!
DeleteI like that all of these titles fit in with government/politics, etc. Works well for the July 4th theme :)

DeleteI don't think I've heard of any of these books; British political books don't really have a flag-themed colour scheme, but it would make them stand out of a shelf pretty well :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by and leaving me a comment!!
DeleteLove how you did your choices! I started Fire and Fury and it was really interesting, but I ended up putting myself on hold for the audiobook because it was so hard for me to have the motivation to read it, no matter how interesting it was. Thanks for stopping by my blog to comment!
ReplyDeleteI've resisted reading The Fire & Fury as it seems like most of the information is already out in the public.

I saw the All the President’s Men movie in high school and remember being really bored. I wonder how I’d feel about it now? I might appreciate it more now that I'm older and know a lot more about politics and journalism.

DeleteSuch a unique list!

DeleteI often feature books I haven't read. Sometimes it's more fun that way - plus since they're always books I'm interested in, it reminds me to read them! :)
