Listening time for Anne of Avonlea (Anne of Green Gables #2) by L. M. Montgomery is 9 hours, 1 minute.
Although, I think that Mary Sarah is a good narrator and did an excellent job of narrating Anne of Avonlea (Anne of Green Gables #2) by L. M. Montgomery, I was less than impressed with the second installment of the 'Anne of Green Gables' series. The second novel follows the life of Anne of Green Gables as she is older and wiser, but follows the same predictable format as the first novel of things going predictably awry, which becomes tiresome.
I still like the character of Anne, but the character of Marilla Cuthbert grew tiresome to me with her austere ways. I also didn't like the new characters of Davy and Dory, twins, who come to live with Anne and Marilla. Davy is such an annoying, troublesome little boy who is nothing but mischievous and Dory is boring and lacking in imagination altogether. Aside from Anne, the only other characters I enjoyed reading about from Anne of Avonlea were of Paul Irving, Lavendar Lewis, and Mr. & Mrs Harrison.
The overall story and plot were okay for Anne of Avonlea (Anne of Green Gables #2) by L. M. Montgomery. I am already bored by the 'Anne of Green Gables' series and have no desire to read the remaining novels in the series.
The following is a summary for Anne of Avonlea (Anne of Green Gables #2) by L. M. Montgomery from Audible:
The second chapter in the life of Anne Shirley. This book follows Anne from the age of 16 to 18, during the two years that she teaches at Avonlea school. M. Montgomery a rating of 2 stars out of 5 stars.
