Top Ten Tuesday --- Ten Books I Plan To Have In My Beach Bag This Summer

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

I miss living near the beach!! If I still lived within walking distance of the beach, I'd have the following ten books from my mountainous 'to be read' pile in my beach bag:

Naked In Death by J. D. Robb
The Thirteen Problems by Agatha Christie
Gilt by Association by Tamar Myers
Baroque and Desperation by Tamar Myers
Death of a Rug Lord by Tamar Myers
cornerBruja Brouhaha by Rochelle Staab
Murder is Binding by Lorna Barrett
Pepperoni Pizza Can Be Murder by Chris Cavender
Whatdunits by Mike Resnick (Editor)
The Black Box by Michael Connelly

Whether I actually read the above books this summer remains to be seen!! I'll most likely end up reading other books.

    1. We're still sort of close about a 60 to 90 minute drive to the Pacific Ocean, but it requires more planning and traffic to get there.

  5. I'm also INSANELY jealous that you used to live near a beach! Whatever inspired you to move? I'm a newbie to the mystery genre, but I have loved every Agatha Christie book I've read. Great list!

    1. My hubby and I lived in the Santa Barbara, California area for 16 years and I love it there. I so want t move back to Santa Barbara. The only reason we moved last year was because my husband was about to be laid off from the company he worked for due to the economy. So, we ended up in Northern California last year as my husband had a phenomenal job offer he couldn't pass up. So here we are.

  6. Lots of mysteries! I guess they would make pretty good beach reads. Great list!
