The Most Read Books In American Prisons

Once yet again, I came across an interesting article on Bustle's website titled 9 Of The Most Read Books In American Prisons by E. Ce Miller. Some of the book titles weren't so surprising to see on this list, but other book titles were. Check out which books made the list by clicking on the link above.

  1. Omg The Bell Jar? I'm sort of surprised about that one, why make yourself more depressed? I LOVE that book though and it's one of my favorites.

  2. the Yoga book really surprised me, as did the one on Anne Frank! i read this article when it was first published and i thought it was really fascinating! i've always had hesitations when it comes to all the drives behind donating books to jails/prisons but i'm become more open to the idea as i've gotten older and now i'm really behind them. great post and thanks for sharing this article! i think it's a great eye opener for alot of people out there and gives everyone a good place to donate books if they have some!

    1. I have heard about donation drives to prisons too, but have never donated books to these types of programs. I usually donate any unwanted books to the public library for them to sell at their library sales to bring in extra money for them.
