Top Ten Tuesday -- Top Ten 2015 Releases I Meant To Get To But Didn't

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!

Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

    1. I went to see Paula Hawkins last year at an author signing event at a local indie bookstore and grabbed a copy of The Girl On The Train, which I had Paula Hawkins sign for me... So, I can't believe I haven't read this book yet!!

  3. Hi! I'm glad I'm not the only one not to have read The Girl on the Train! I hear it's going to be a film this year, I definitely want to read the book first.

    1. The funny part is that I didn't even know that a movie was being made of The Girl On The Train until you and others mentioned it in the comments. I'll want to read the novel first before seeing the movie.

    1. I keep putting off reading The Girl On The Train and I don't know why as I already have a copy of it. Too many books to little time to read I guess!

  9. I really enjoyed the girl on the train. It had a few flaws in my opinion, but definitely worth the read. I hope you get to read all of these. :) Here's my TTT http://angelerin.blogspot.com/2016/01/top-ten-tuesday-top-twenty-2015.html?m=0

  10. I'm so happy to see The Heart Goes Last on your list! Margaret Atwood is one of my absolute favourite authors. I'm actually reading this one right now, and so far it's really interesting. Weird, but in a good way. I hope you'll love it!

I read The Girl On The Train at the beginning of last year, and was pretty underwhelmed by it (I think a lot of that had to do with all the over-hype surrounding it though) so I'd be interested to see what your thoughts are on it once you've read it. So many people are either really hot or cold about it.

    1. I am a HUGE Margaret Atwood fan too.

I hope I am not too underwhelmed by The Girl On The Train... I find myself sometimes not liking books that have been over-hyped either.

  13. I meant to read Go Set A Watchman as well, but I never got around to it. Fingers crossed that we both do in 2016! :-)

    1. Go Set A Watchman is a good read!! I've finished it... I listened to the unabridged audio version narrated by Reese Witherspoon and enjoyed her narration of this Harper Lee novel. Review to come soon.

  14. Oh yes, Go Set a Watchman! I must add it to my list! Girl Waits With Gun looks and sounds intriguing too. Can't fault a title that's to the point!

  15. I didn't get to Go Set a Watchman this year either; I'm on the fence about checking it out at all actually. I loved To Kill a Mockingbird and I'm totally satisfied with that story and those characters, I don't know if I want to read this new version of it, though I may pick up the audio book one of these days.

    1. I don't think it's necessary to read Go Set A Watchman if you don't want to do so. It's a stand alone book. I kind of liken it to a different retelling of To Kill A Mockingbird. Personally, I liked To Kill A Mockingbird much better than Go Set a Watchman.

  16. Girl on the Train!
I own this book since February 2015! Still have not read this! It is bugging me to no end, i am so unbelievable happy to see someone else that has not yet read it!
And the others on your list sound fantastic too -other the go set a watchman since i am not a huge fan of harper lee (i know, please don't scream i am just not)- so i will definitely remember those and add them to my TBR list.
    Great list :)

    1. I end up buying a lot of books at the time that I think I'll get to and then they sit there on my 'to be read' pile indefinitely! :-(
