Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Top Ten Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.
The following ten books all have handwriting on their covers. Six of these books I have read. The other four books are ones I want to read.
1. The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Burrows
2. Room by Emma Donoghue
3. The 57 Bus by Dashka Slater
4. The Guest List by Lucy Foley
5. Turtles All the Way Down by John Green
6. Burial Rites by Hannah Kent
7. The Weight of Ink by Rachel Kadish
8. Velvet Was the Night by Silvia Moreno-Garcia
9. Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid
10. Me & Patsy Kickin' Up Dust by Loretta Lynn
Have you read any of the above books?

I love The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society! And I haven't read Room, but I did see the movie they made of it and really loved that. Fun list. :D
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment, Lark.
DeleteThat's an interesting list of titles.
ReplyDeleteThank you, I was trying to fit that week's theme.
DeleteI have five of those. They were purchased before I converted to reading on Kindle.
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by Dorothy!! I was away on travel so am finally reading and responding to comments.
DeleteI read the Guernsey book. Great novel.
ReplyDeleteI loved it too.
DeleteEveryone in my book club did, as well.
DeleteIt's a novel that probably appeals to many people.
DeleteWell, many people don't want to read about the war anymore, so that shows how good the book is.
DeleteI also feel like part of it may be that there are so many novels set during WWII. That perhaps the topic is saturated.
DeleteI don't know about that. We all should try to learn from history. And, as we can see, if a novel is good, it doesn't matter.
DeleteI am fine with amount of novels regarding WWII. I'm a fan of historical fiction. But I have heard others complain about reading books set during WWII, like there are too many books about the topic. Maybe they don't like historical fiction. I don't know.
DeleteMe, either. And I understand older people who lived during the war because they don't want to be reminded. But they will not forget.
