Happy Audiobook Appreciation Month!!!
I am a HUGE audiobook fan! In fact, last year, the majority of the books I listened to rather than read. I definitely promote and appreciate audiobooks.
I'm just the opposite. I prefer the written word that I can enjoy at my own pace. I only really listen to audiobooks when I'm traveling. They are a godsend on long road trips.
I started out with audiobooks to enjoy on long trips too. They gradually became a way of life for me over the years. I can knit, take walks, eat meals when I am home alone, simple chores and so on while listening to an audiobook.
Since my left eye issue began in November 2022, audiobooks have allowed me to keep up with reading without exacerbating my current issue when I am dealing with eye fatigue and strain and other eye issues.
We all have are favorite reading preferences, which makes reading fun for all of us!
