The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly

Abridged Audiobook
I purchased an abridged copy of The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly on compact disc from the Friends of Library Used Bookstore in Carpinteria, California for $1 on December 30, 2016.

I love listening to audiobooks and for the inexpensive price of $1, I couldn't resist buying this audiobook. Besides, I've listened to and/or read at least one Michael Connelly book in the past and enjoyed Michael Connelly's writing. So, I decided to give The Brass Verdict a go.

The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly is narrated by Peter Giles. Listening time for The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly is 5 hours, 54 minutes.

The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly isn't the first book I started reading in 2017, but is the 1st book I finished reading in 2017. I like thrillers and also Michael Connelly's writing. His novels and characters make for interesting reading and reading The Brass Verdict was another hit for me. I enjoyed the characters, storyline, and flow of The Brass Verdict.

Additionally, I thought Peter Giles was a really good narrator. I enjoyed how he made The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly come alive due his narration.

I am not a huge fan of abridged audiobooks as I prefer listening to the unabridged version of audiobooks whenever possible because I want to experience a book in its entirety. However, with that said, I thought the abridgment for The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly was done nicely. I thought the abridged version of this book flowed well and it didn't seem like there were any major gaps in the storyline.

The following is a plot summary for The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly from Audible:
Things are finally looking up for defense attorney Mickey Haller. After two years of wrong turns, Haller is back in the courtroom. When Hollywood lawyer Jerry Vincent is murdered, Haller inherits his biggest case yet: the defense of Walter Elliott, a prominent studio executive accused of murdering his wife and her lover.
But as Haller prepares for the case that could launch him into the big time, he learns that Vincent's killer may be coming for him next.
Enter Harry Bosch. Determined to find Vincent's killer, he is not opposed to using Haller as bait. But as danger mounts and the stakes rise, these two loners realize their only choice is to work together.
Bringing together Michael Connelly's two most popular characters, The Brass Verdict is sure to be his biggest book yet.
I am giving The Brass Verdict by Michael Connelly a rating of 4 stars out of 5 stars. I am giving this novel a lower rating mainly because it is abridged... Whenever I listen to an abridged audiobook, I'm left feeling like I've been gipped... Like how much of the plot did I miss out on due to the abridgment of an book??

Until my next post, happy reading!!
