Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

2. Harper after author Harper Lee
3. Truman after Truman Capote
4. Scout after Jean Louise 'Scout' Finch
5. Charlotte after Charlotte Bronte

7. Dylan Thomas after the poet
8. Lee from East of Eden by John Steinbeck
9. Bela from A Hero of Our Time

I *almost* went with this topic today! I named my cat after a book character (Lily from "The Secret Life of Bees," which I had just read when we got her) and a friend had a dog named Scout after "To Kill a Mockingbird."
ReplyDeleteOoh nice names! Great topic pick!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
After reading Big Little Lies, I would NEVER name my kid Harper. She was a brown noser! Great Top Ten! I wish I had of thought of this topic! Maybe next time :D
ReplyDeleteMy Top Ten Tuesday!
I have Named my daughters Cecilia for my mom and the other one Eva for Eva Peron, because I wanted her to have something to connect them to my country.
ReplyDeleteThis list is a great Idea!
Harper is a really cute name. I know a girl who named her daughter that and I just love it!! I also really love Scout. Demi Moore kind of killed it for me when she named her daughter that, but I've gotten over it and like it again :)
ReplyDeleteI like Harper, and I kinda like Augustus too even though I'm not sure I would actually use it lol. But it sounds like a distinguished name. ;)
ReplyDeleteWe gave two of our children names from the same book - we liked them regardless of the fact that they were the names of a couple of animals!
ReplyDeleteYour list makes me wish I'd gone with this topic. Margarita is a really nice name, and I almost expected Charlotte to come from Charlotte's Web ;)
ReplyDeleteI love Harper and Scout. I would definitely do that too!
ReplyDeleteI never thought of Agatha, but that's a great one. I bet that girl would be spunky!
