Top Ten Tueday ~ TTT Throwback FREEBIE ~ Top Ten Book Festivals I want to Attend Some Day!!

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader GirlTop Ten Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I've thoroughly enjoyed attending the Bay Area Book Festival in Berkeley, California for four years in a row now. I'd definitely love to branch out and attend several other major annual book festivals across the nation as well. Below is my top ten list of book festivals I want to attend in the future.

1. The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books in Los Angeles, California
2. The Iowa City Book Festival in Iowa City, Iowa
3. The Library Of Congress National Book Festival in Washington, DC
4. The Portland Book Festival (Formerly Wordstock) in Portland, Oregon
5. The Chicago Tribune Printers Row Lit Fest in Chicago, Illinois
6. The Brooklyn Book Festival in Brooklyn, New York
7. The Miami Book Fair International in Miami, Florida
8. The Baltimore Book Festival in Baltimore, Maryland
9. The Louisiana Book Festival in Baton Rouge, Lousiana
10. The Seattle Antiquarian Book Fair in Seattle, Washington

Have you attended any of the book festivals I've mentioned in my list above? If so, please share your experience in the comment section below.

Also, are there any other worthy book festivals you would recommend attending?

  2. I'm planning to hit two of these this year! I was sick during last year's Baltimore Book Fest, but I went the tear before. It's pretty cool, and it's right down on the inner harbor. I'll try to take a bunch of pictures this year and post about it! I'm also planning to go to the DC Festival. I've never been to that one, so it'll be an adventure! There are definitely advantages to living in Baltimore!

  5. Going to some sort of book con/bookish event is on my bucket list! I'm in Brazil and read books in english. Very few international authors come here for small events and they're usually held in the big cities (which is rather far away from me and can become unreasonably expensive to get there) :/

  13. I have been to none of these. I feel really sad about that, because I love book festivals. I usually attend BookCon every year, because it is nearby, and I went to Utopia and YallFest in the past. Both were really fun.

  14. Such a unique topic choice! The only one I've been to is Northern Virginia Teen Book Fest, and it was good, but could have been better with lunch options and signing line speeds. I'd love to go to the Teen Book Fest in Texas someday, I think.

  19. I need to find out if there are any festivals near me, any of those would be awesome. I don't really get to many author events, but I met my most favorite historian ever back in September and I am not sure any experience could top that!

  24. Several of those festivals look/sound pretty cool. :-) There's a big literature festival each year in Stavanger (Norway) that I've attended a few times and it's called "Kapittel". This year I might attend it with my workplace (a bookshop) as it last year had the responsibility of having a festival bookshop onsite of the festival.
