I learned that Sheila at Book Journey makes photo collages of readers reading their first book of the new year from Elizabeth at Silver's Reviews!! I thought this was a fun idea and decided to post a picture of me reading this morning (in my pajamas and robe of all things) my first book of 2015... I'm a bit camera shy about posting pictures of myself on my blog! I think this is actually the first picture I've posted of myself ever here for my readers to view.
So, which book am I reading on the first day of 2015?? The Seance by Joan Lowery Nixon... It's a young adult novel that sounds intriguing from the book summary. Joan Lowery Nixon is a new to me author and I'm hoping that The Seance lives up to my expectations!!
So, which book is your first read in the new year??
Nice risk taking for the 1st day of the year! However I can identify, but its nice to see the person behind the blog. Hope you enjoy your book, love reading in the morning myself in my pj's! Happy New Year.

DeleteSo with you on the robe and PJs! I was in sweats and slippers all day myself! I'm pretty sure my daughter went through a big Nixon phase a year or two ago and her taste is pretty solid so I'll have to go raid her bookshelves. I like the look of that one! Hope you got some cozy reading done today and happy New Year!

DeleteWaving hello from Australia .... enjoy Seance, it sounds good. Cute pic, pjs and a day in bed reading is my idea of heaven :)
ReplyDeleteWaving back your way!! Happy reading to you in 2015!
DeleteThat looks like a comfy robe! I can be a little unsure about putting personal stuff on my book blog (as in pictures), but I think it just adds to the fun, sometimes! Always good to see someone. :)
ReplyDeleteMy first read of the new year was a short one - The Secret Library by Haruki Murakami. Very strange, but I really liked it so I guess it was a win all around.
It's sounds like you had a good first read of the year!! I have yet to read anything by Haruki Murakami.
DeleteNew author to me! My first book this year was Return to Exile by Lynne Gentry and it was a good one. Thanks for stopping by my blog! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful year of reading in 2015!! Glad you enjoyed reading your 1st book in 2015!!
DeleteI'm like you & don't usually post pics of myself, but a book selfie that focuses on the book works for me :-)
ReplyDeleteOn the other side of the world, I enjoyed reading my first book of the year, lounging by the pool in my swimmers & hat!
Happy New Year & Happy Reading!
I envy that you were able to enjoy your first read of the year by the pool in your swim suit! Ha, I'm freezing cold with the cold snap that had come our way.
DeleteI hope you enjoyed your first book of 2015. I set around in my robe and nightie sometimes all day. I think when it snows I just don't feel like getting dressed, and it has started snowing today in my little corner of the world. We are expecting 7-8 inches by tomorrow morning. I figure it is the ideal time to curl up and read, read, read. Thanks for visiting my little corner of the reading world recently.
ReplyDeleteI also sometimes sit around in my pajamas and robe all day too! The weather can male the difference or if you have a cold or something like that...
DeleteStay warm during the cooler/colder weather this season and happy reading!!
