Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme created here at The Broke and the Bookish. This feature was created because we are particularly fond of lists here at The Broke and the Bookish. We'd love to share our lists with other bookish folks and would LOVE to see your top ten lists!
Each week we will post a new Top Ten list that one of our bloggers here at The Broke and the Bookish will answer. Everyone is welcome to join. All we ask is that you link back to The Broke and the Bookish on your own Top Ten Tuesday post AND add your name to the Linky widget so that everyone can check out other bloggers lists! If you don't have a blog, just post your answers as a comment. Have fun with it! It's a fun way to get to know your fellow bloggers.

Which books would you select for your book club?
OOh nice! These are all new to me!
ReplyDeleteHere's my Tuesday Post
Have a GREAT day!
Old Follower :)
I NEED to start a book club so that The Night Circus can be the first book we read. I've had that on my shelf for ages and haven't read it yet (BBC yt? I REALLY want to). Room would be a great choice! I never would have thought of The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, but it's would be perfect for a book club. Great list!

I haven't read any of these! I think that a lot of books would be fun to read with a book club, especially The Lunar Chronicles or the Throne of Glass series!
ReplyDeleteGreat list, I will have to try and read some of these!
Em @ http://theyabookbutterfly.blogspot.com/
We read The Night Circus for our book club, and everyone loved it! Great picks!
ReplyDeleteI read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and while I didn't enjoy the way it was written, the information was really fascinating. It is the perfect book club book.
ReplyDeleteSo many great titles on this list! We read Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close as a group and had a great discussion over it (it also happens to be one of my favorites). Henrietta Lacks was also a really great discussion book for our group. In Cold Blood would also make a great pick--and then you could pair with the movie Capote for a movie night. Great list.
ReplyDeleteNight Circus! I need to read this soon! Think it's about time i put a hold on it and read it!!
ReplyDeleteGood list :] Some of these i've never heard of!
In Cold Blood is one of my all-time favorites, and I liked Cutting for stone a great deal, too. Good list!
ReplyDeleteNight circus is probably a great pick, even though I can't say for sure, since I haven't read it myself. It just seems perfect for a book club.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Marie Antoinette Serial Killer?! What is this? Haha, I have to check it out :D
I really want to read some of these books too and think they would be great for a book club. Do you think you will get to any of them this year?
ReplyDeleteI've only read one of those (The Night Circus), but from what I've heard about some of those others, they seem like good book club options!
ReplyDeleteI've heard great things about some of these books. I am sure that a book club with these books would be amazing!
ReplyDeleteI heard about Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer a while ago, but haven't read it—it sounds good!
ReplyDeleteFabulous list. Now get out there and join a book club and start reading these! :-)
ReplyDeleteOooh, In Cold Blood! What a good idea for that one- I haven't read it yet but just from the content I'm sure that would be a great one to have discussions about.
ReplyDeleteHere is mine this week :) http://busybrunettesbookshelf.blogspot.com/2015/01/top-ten-tuesday-books-id-love-to-read.html
OMG, The Night Circus! That sounds so fabulous and I've eyed it up for years... I have no idea why I haven't picked it up yet :) I've heard fabulous things about Room as well.
ReplyDeleteHuh, The Night Circus is the only one on your list that I've read!
ReplyDelete~ Liza @ Classy Cat Books
I want to read the Night Circus! It would be fun for a book club read!
ReplyDeleteThe Night Circus is amazing! I also really liked The Casual Vacancy, and Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer is a book that's been on my TBR pile for a while. Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier!

Room and The Night Circus would be incredible book club reads. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteExtremely Loud and Incredibly Close is one of my fave books ever! We read it for book club, and it is the highest scored book that we've ever had!
ReplyDeleteThese are great picks! I have read The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and thought it was really interesting. The Night Circus has been on my TBR for a while.
ReplyDeleteWe Are All Completely Beside Ourselves sounds really interesting, and would be great to discuss. As would The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
Great picks - I really enjoyed The Casual Vacancy, and think it would make a great book for a group discussion. It's a long time since I read Room but from what I can remember it would definitely be another good choice for conversation.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these either. But the last seven are also on my TBR list...this could be the year to finally read them! :)
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've actually read any of those, but a few are on my TBR list. They'd be super-fun to discuss in a book club! Thanks for stopping by my blog. :D
ReplyDeleteI love The Night Circus! Some great choices here. :)
ReplyDeleteI've really been wanting to read The Night Circus; great selection!
ReplyDeleteThe Night Circus is so worth reading! I have The Casual Vacancy and The Immortal Life on my TBR too. Great list!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of these either. Night Circus has been on my to read list for far too long, I have to get to that one already.
ReplyDeleteWell, shoot! I haven't read any of these :( I do have Night Circus though. Good luck with your club ;)
ReplyDeleteGood picks! Actually I read The Night Circus in a book club I was long ago and it was really good. You should read it no matter if book club or not.
ReplyDeleteThe Night Circus does sound like an interesting book to read, mostly because I hated Water for Elephants, which people have compared it to, but I did like the idea of doing a story set in the mystique of an old-fashioned circus, and I'm hoping Night Circus is an improvement.
ReplyDeleteI have read The Casual Vacancy and blogged my thoughts on it, one part at a time:
https://kirksbooks.wordpress.com/2012/09/27/the-casual-vacancy-sunday/
I haven't heard of all of these books, but The Casual Vacancy (as well as the Cormoran Strike series by "Robert Galbraith" *wink wink nudge nudge*) are on my TBR list! I'm a gigantic fan of Rowling's Harry Potter series, and though I'm not expecting her other novels to be as magical-adventure-like, I really love her writing style.
ReplyDeleteI've also heard a lot about The Night Circus, I just haven't read it yet. We should form a virtual book club and read them together :P Thanks for stopping by my TTT earlier!

Looks like Night Circus is in a lot of lists; I should probably try it! It does seem like a perfect book club read.
ReplyDeleteGreat list! And thank you for stopping by my TTT!
ReplyDeleteNice list, The Night Circus is on my TBR list, I hear great things!

My daughter loved Marie Antoinette, Serial Killer. I might have to steal it from her.
ReplyDeleteIf I could recommend only one book club read this year it would be Pioneer Girl by Bich Minh Nguyen.
Thanks for your Tuesday visit to The Book Connection.
I haven't read any of these, but there are a couple on your list that I have been wanting to read. Great list!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog!
Can you believe I haven't read ONE of these books yet! I suppose I need to join your book club!
