Peter Lovesey Virtual Gala - Live on YouTube

Earlier this evening, I had the lovely honor of watching the Peter Lovesey Virtual Gala - Live on YouTube, which was hosted by independent bookstore, Murder by the Book in Houston, Texas.

Quite frankly, I'd never even heard of Peter Lovesey until recently and was honored to attend this celebrated author's golden gala in his honor. Many well know authors were on hand to toast Peter Lovesey's writing and to share many fun stories about him during this virtual event.

Below is more information about the Peter Lovesey Virtual Gala - Live on YouTube from the YouTube page in which the video is linked:

  1. I read one or two Lovesey books many, many years ago. He certainly has staying power. I used to love visiting Murder by the Book in the "before times." It's a great book store, but I haven't been there in forever. It's great that they are having these virtual events.

    1. Glad to hear Peter Lovesey has staying power and that you've enjoyed reading his novels in the past. I did decide to order the Wobble to Death (Deluxe Edition) (A Sergeant Cribb Investigation #1) hardback edition by Peter Lovesey from Murder by the Book. It's the 50th anniversary edition of Wobble to Death and will be signed by the author. I'm looking forward to reading it when it arrives.

I'm so thrilled that bookstores across the nation are hosting these live author events for avid book lovers to watch... Granted I'd rather see these events in person, but due to current pandemic times, I'll take a virtual event any day... Additionally, I do like virtual events in cases where an author or book festival is far from where one lives... This way, we can all enjoy viewing a specific author/book festival event, even if it is from afar.

I would love to visit Murder by the Book in the future. Wouldn't that be fun after the pandemic is over with!
