The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie

I read The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie for the first time many years ago and really enjoyed reading it at the time.

As a side note, I recently made a Top Ten Tuesday post last month on March 24th, citing the "Top 10 Books From My Childhood (Or teen years) That I Would Love To Revisit". I chose to focus on my love of reading Agatha Christie novels during my high school years and listed the ten Agatha Christie novels I wanted to revisit... One of these novels was The Mysterious Affair At Styles

So, when I discovered the free ebook edition of The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie on Amazon's website, I immediately downloaded it to my Kindle and began reading it after I finished a couple of other novels. Below is my unbiased opinion of The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie.

I'd forgotten many of the details of The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie, so I felt like I was reading it for the first time. I enjoy reading any of Agatha Christie novels featuring the Belgium detective, Hercule Poirot, and The Mysterious Affair At Styles features both Hercule Poirot and his sidekick, Captain Arthur Hastings.

I enjoyed the story, setting, plot development, and also the characters in The Mysterious Affair At Styles. This novel has stood the test of time pretty well, even if things seemed a bit dated by today's standards. The Mysterious Affair At Styles was published in 1920.

There were lots of twists and turns in The Mysterious Affair At Styles, which left the reader guessing as to who actually dunnit! This is why I like reading Agatha Christie novels. Ms. Christie is a genius at misdirection. Her writing is marvelous and she offers great stories filled with wonderful characters that have stood the test of time very well.

I'm giving The Mysterious Affair At Styles by Agatha Christie a rating of 8 stars out of 10 stars. Until my next post, happy reading!!

  1. I just finished listening to And Then There Were None and loved it to death. I am currently listening to another of her books Crooked House and loving that one also. I can't wait to get to this book. I really enjoyed the movie with Hercule Poirot.
