50/50 Friday - Best/Worst Read in August

50/50 Friday is a meme hosted by Carrie @ The Butterfly Reads and Laura @ Blue Eye Books. This fun themed meme focuses on the opposite sides of books (best/worst, differing opinions, etc). Every week a new topic will give bloggers the chance to showcase their answers.

My Best Read in August 2018
I had a lot of good read in August,
so it was difficult to narrow down my choices.

My Worst Read in August 2018
I loved the cover for
The Keeper of the Wolf Clan by Red Phoenix,
but it just wasn't for me... So, it got a 1 star rating.

  1. I only read one book in August. It's by my favorite author, but curiously I wasn't that crazy about it. I still have 10% left to finish, but I don't think the book will get any better.

    1. Sorry to hear the book wasn't/isn't that good for you. It's surprising and rather disappointing when a favorite author doesn't live up to their usual writing style. At least for me anyway.

  2. Best: The Overstory by Richard Powers. Worst: All Clear by Connie Willis.

  3. The Keeper of the Wolf Clan does have a stunning cover! It sure pulled me in but hearing how you gave it 1 star makes me leery to even try it...

    Thanks for linking up!

  4. Aw it's always disappointing when a book doesn't live up to it's cover :( Basically 70% of my decision to read a book is based on the cover (100% cover snob) so when the insides don't match the outsides, it's always a let-down. Thanks for linking up!
