Top Ten Tuesday - Books with Honorifics in the Title

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Top Ten Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I loved this week's Top Ten Tuesday topic... It's so unique!!! I had to really dig deep to find books I want to read with honorifics in the title.

1. Miss Benson's Beetle by Rachel Joyce

2. Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs

3. Miss Morgan's Book Brigade by Janet Skeslien Charles

4. The Second Mrs. Astor by Shana Abe

5. Doctor Zhivago by Boris Pasternak

6. The Daughter of Doctor Moreau by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

7. A Country Doctor's Notebook by Mikhail Bulgakov

8. The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Marie Benedict

9. Mrs Hudson Investigates by Susan Knight

10. Mr. X by Peter Straub

Have you read any of the above books? Would you recommend any of them?

  1. Ooh nice picks! I forgot to search for "doctor" as well! I would've had at least one there! I was thinking too basic with my honorific searches! Lol. Nice picks!

  5. I had Miss Benson's Beetle on my list too. I listened to the audiobook of that one and I loved it.

It was my suggestion for the topic this week and I'm enjoying seeing all the choices!

  7. Yes, we both have Doctor Zhivago, one of the most famous Doctors on earth. One of my favourite stories.
I have read another one: Miss Benson's Beetle. I never even thought about Miss, I would have had a few there.
Anyway, this was a fun challenge.

    2. It happens more often with some readers than others. I think we have a lot in common.

  8. Great list! I've read three of these and three others are on my TBR list. I almost put MRS. BENSON'S BEETLE on my list this week, but I was trying to get more variety in the honorifics I used.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!
