I once heard (or read, maybe??) that Agatha Christie didn't like Poirot's character much, but felt compelled to keep him around as he was so loved by her readers. Anyway, I think she pretty old at the time she wrote Curtain.Captivated Readerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15789205839634527219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8652886466659402180.post-43833522779185544232018-07-09T12:11:48.743-07:002018-07-09T12:11:48.743-07:00Hello! I feel like that's a common theme with mysteries and sometimes I don't know how to rate a book then. Like it was really good the first time around, but because you know how it ends, will it really be as good the second time and should that impact a rating? It's a really weird situation. Still, I do agree that I don't think Curtain is AC's best work (although I really liked it the first time around). It's nicely put together though.

Laura @BlueEyeBooksLaura @BlueEyeBookshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12983345219563729728noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8652886466659402180.post-91340834914246862452018-06-14T10:49:17.285-07:002018-06-14T10:49:17.285-07:00Yes, the explanation ending bugged me too... I do know that mysteries which end like this one with an explanation really bug me. As far as rereading goes, it is almost always a risk for me. Will I still love a book as I once did?Judy Kruegerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11632346091869688862noreply@blogger.com
