Top Ten Tuesday -Top 12 Favorite Audiobook Narrators

Top Ten Tuesday is an original feature/weekly meme hosted by Jana @ That Artsy Reader Girl. Top Ten Tuesday was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I went rogue this week and chose my own Top Ten Tuesday theme this week.

It's no secret that I love listening to audiobooks. I've listened to several audiobooks over the years. Below are 12 narrators I've enjoyed listening narrate books and would gladly listen to other books they narrate.

1. Simon Vance
2. Will Patton
3. Stefan Rudnicki
4. Bahni Turpin
5. Angela Dawe
6. Cassandra Campbell
7. Jayne Entwistle
8. Juanita McMahon
9. Juliet Mills
10. Ralph Cosham
11. Jim Dale
12. Bernadette Dunne

Do you listen to audiobooks too? Do you have a favorite narrator? If so, share with me your favorite narrator(s) in the comment section below.

  1. Ooh nice! I'm not good with audiobooks myself, it would be so much easier if I was though! Lol.

    1. I like audiobooks when I travel places (which hasn't been happening due to the pandemic of course!) or while I'm eating meals alone or other tasks that don't require loads of concentration.

  2. I always wish I could listen to audio books but I just can't concentrate. So, I'm not saying "Happy Reading" but "Happy Listening" to you. In any case: Enjoy!

    1. I sometimes find my mind wandering when I listen to audiobooks too... especially if it has a poor narrator, dismal audio production, or I'm not that into the story/plot.

    2. Oh, I'm glad I'm not the only one. And happy for you to still enjoy them.

      Thanks for visiting my page.

  3. Like Marianne, I also have trouble concentrating with audio books, especially if I'm doing something else at the same time. But this list looks great and I'm glad they work so well for you!

    1. Thank you for stopping by and leaving me a comment. I understand completely that audiobooks do not work for everyone.

  4. Oooh, thanks for this list! I've just started listening to audiobooks and I've realized how much difference a good narrator makes. My favorite is Katherine Kellgren. She narrated The Bloody Jack books by L.A. Meyer. Unfortunately, she is deceased now. I'll have to look up these other narrators.

    Happy TTT!

    1. Thank you for the tip on a new narrator! I have read the 1st physical book in the Bloody Jack series and liked it... Now I may have to listen to the rest of the series.

  5. It is good to have this reference for best audiobook readers. I can tell from other bloggers that the reader can make all the difference.

  6. Bahni Turpin is the best! I've listened to quite a few books by her. I also really like Elizabeth Acevedo, reading her own books but also others.

    1. Glad you've enjoyed listening to Bahni Turpin narrate books. Elizabeth Acevedo sounds familiar, but am not sure off hand if I've heard narrate any books.
